The Heritage rouge was called Tradition rouge until the 2013 vintage. 50% Syrah, 25% Grenache and 25% Carignan. Notes of dark fruits with some dark chocolate and hints of herbs. The wine has a nice length, medium body and a long finish on the palate. With 13,000 hectares, the Corbieres is the largest sub-area in the Languedoc. The Panis family is running the winery in the fifth generation and cultivates predominantly red grape varieties on 65 hectares of vineyards, 39 of which are in the AOC Corbieres. In addition to the classic southern French grape varieties, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are also grown on the clay, limestone and gravel soils. Wine is grown with great respect for nature and the vines; Chateau du Vieux Parc is a member of the Vitealys association, which is committed to natural wine growing.
