    The history

    Our story begins long ago, in 1878, with Silviano Venchi, then a very young man of 20, who loved chocolate so passionately that he sacrificed his savings to buy two bronze cauldrons, first in his own home and later to do his first chocolatier experiments in a small shop in Via degli Artisti in the Vanchiglia district of Turin.
    The results were so satisfying that after just a few years, the Nougatine was born, small pralines made from chopped and caramelized Piedmontese hazelnuts covered in extra dark chocolate. Today the boxes no longer bear the royal seal, but the passion, care and enthusiasm for experimentation of those early years are still undiminished today. This is how numerous characteristic pralines with imaginative names were born, such as Chocoviar, Tartufini, Gianduiotti and Cremini, as well as the chocolate bars, the Suprema spread, the Gelato and the chocolate eggs of the Gourmet line. All delicious, wholesome and natural, made from the best ingredients and refined with the best intentions: to always see the positive in everything and to live a long and happy - and above all a sweeter - life.

    The CLUIZEL factory admits only one truth: that of taste. The CLUIZEL factory is an example of French familiarity. She is the child of a sweet crush: that of Marc Cluizel, son of an apprentice baker in chocolate, and his future wife Marcelle, pastry chef.
    They cook together in their little house in Damville in Normandy, young, in love and full of ideas. The year is 1947 and the CLUIZEL factory was born.
    70 years later, the Cluizel factory is run by the fourth generation.
    Transmission is a fundamental value of the CLUIZEL manufactory. First, it is an unshakable family legacy where chocolatiers, pastry chefs and members of the Cluizel family work hand in hand. The CLUIZEL factory is a creator of chocolate: closely linked to its exclusive growers, it controls all the phases that underline the slow production of chocolate, from the selection of cocoa beans to the sharing of its creations. While the manufacture remains linked to its family roots and these traditions, it is also constantly innovating: it seeks to sublimate the exceptional raw material supplied to it by its partner growers with ever more precision and respect.
