Pink Salt Flakes, Pink Salt Flakes

The Murray River, whose source springs in the snowy mountains, is the largest river in Australia. In its course, it flows through landscapes with increased salt deposits. The Murray-Darling Basin, with its low rainfall and high degree of evaporation, is an ideal place to extract high salt groundwater. The color of the salt obtained from this natural brine comes from separate, red pigments (carotene) salt-tolerant algae. Australian Murray River salt is made up of subtle, peach-colored crystals. The flakes have a mild taste and are ideal for seasoning or table salt. They literally melt between their fingers.
