2017 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling GG RESERVE, dry, 12.5% vol., Dr.Loosen

This GG RESERVE picture-perfectly depicts the properties of the Great Site Wehlener Sonnenuhr. The site is dominated by blue slate and it is often said that the Wehlener Sonnenuhr produces the most atypical blue slate wines. They are considered to be very elegant, very fine and playful, with fine stone fruit aromas of white peach. The grapes grow in the `Laychen`, a plot with ungrafted vines that are at least 130 years old. Filigree, elegant, with cool blue slate minerality. When young, these wines captivate with their fine, playful, floral citrus and vineyard peach aromas.
