2021er Aureus Sonnenhang, Pinot Gris, dry, 14% vol., Bettenheimer

The gently golden radiant (=aureus) Burgundy. The loess and lime marl soil increases the storage of solar radiation and this gives this brilliant Pinot Gris depth and structure. In addition to its salty minerality, the powerful wine convinces with spicy fruit and a fine smokiness, rounded off by a delicious melt. This wine goes perfectly with fish and sashimi. But also with grilled lamb with rosemary. The aureus needs air and freedom to develop at a young age! Jens Bettenheimer`s motto: My vision is to bottle expressive wines with rough edges that are characteristic of the vintage, variety and our chalky terroir. The route is the goal.
