As the name suggests, the redfish is characterized by its strong golden-red skin. On average, it is about 40 centimeters long, but can live up to 75 years and then reach a maximum length of one meter and a body weight of 15 kilograms. The redfish is caught in the clear waters of Iceland. The water around the island is a unique ecosystem. The meeting of the nutrient-rich Greenland Current and the warm Gulf Stream allows the redfish to grow under the best conditions. The sustainable use of natural resources is particularly important. The redfish is caught off Iceland all year round and is therefore available in consistent quality regardless of the season. Flavor The firm, white and juicy redfish flesh is extremely delicate with a slightly nutty flavor. The hand-filleted 80g portions are perfect for roasting, steaming or cooking in the oven.
