2022 Chardonnay Limestone, Dry, 13.5% ABV, Artist

The Chardonnay limestone comes from a location that can be found in the far east of Hochheim. The vines have grown on calcareous soils directly on the Main. This wine is one of the special features of the Künstler winery. The lime content in the soil results in a wine with a soft acidity, delicate aromas and an elegant finish. The wine is aged 2/3 in stainless steel containers and 1/3 of the batch in barriques and was still on the fine lees for about half a year. This gives the wine a nice texture and notes of melted butter on the nose.
