Red fruits and herbs on the nose. Full in the mouth, complex and well structured with hints of truffle, licorice and rose petals. Bruno Giacosa is one of the last traditionalists of Piedmont winemaking. He fundamentally rejects barriques and his wines are not filtered. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and aging in large French oak barrels. He has adopted his ancestors` philosophy of intervening as little as possible in the development of his wines. His wines are of Burgundian elegance, gentle yet powerful and long. 93 points Wine Spectator and 91 Parker points
