Ponthier chestnuts are precooked ready to use. They do not disintegrate when warming up, they remain tender and retain their incomparable taste. Traditionally, sweet chestnuts accompany meat, game and poultry as a filling or garnish. Also in connection with fish such as sole or monkfish the aromatic fruits of the sweet chestnut are to be recommended. They can also be added to rustic salads or can be used for baked apple fillings and fine pastries.
