2019 Pouilly Fuisse AOP, dry, 13.5% vol., Dom. de Giroux

The Pouilly-Fuisse is the grand seigneur of Maconnais. It is produced on around 750 hectares in the villages of Solutre, Vergisson, Chaintre and Fuisse, which are joined by the hamlet of Pouilly (the combination of the last two names has given it its appellation). The aging took place for 11 months in 400 liter wooden barrels. Classic Chardonnay with a complexity and finesse that only a few possess. With fine aromas of hazelnuts, honey and butter, as well as fresh garden fruits.
