  • The estate Grans-Fassian

Cultivation in the best locations since 1624

Our estate is located in Leiwen on the Moselle, in the middle of Germanys oldest wine region, on one of the largest and finest Mosel loops. About the protected valley of the river, the steep, often south-facing shale slopes rise. The mineral-rich rock of the vineyards effected together with the warm weather zone the perfect microclimate for the Riesling.

    Traditional top locations

Gerhard Grans took over in 1982 from his father Matthias the vineyard and enlarged the then 4-hectare vineyard on 11 hectares today. They are planted to 88% with Riesling, 10% Pinot Blanc and 2% Pinot Gris. The prime area of the estate are classified in the highest growing category at the same time.

Our winery is a member of the Association of VDP (VDP).
