    In 1991, Gerard Dubois opened the first La Rose Noire Patisserie in Hong Kong Island`s most prestigious shopping mall. In more than 2 decades, this simple operation, a restaurant with pastry shop with 30 seats, has developed into a respected company. This encouraging performance exceeded his wildest expectations. From an initial selection of 28 items, La Rose Noire now has over 500 varieties in its product brochure, covering the needs of every sector in the market. Today, La Rose Noire employs 250 people in Hong Kong who work around the clock at their original manufacturing center in Kowloon Bay.
    Gerard and his team opened their latest venture Passion Cafe - Boulangerie - Patisserie - Confiserie in Hong Kong in 2012. There are now over 7 stores in Hong Kong and Macau.
    In 2020, La Rose Noire opened its sales offices in Switzerland - to serve the European market, and in the United States of America.
