Macis - mace, ground, Old Spice Office, Ingo Holland
This mace originates from Papua New Guinea. The delicate orange-colored husk is the dried seed husk of nutmeg. Mace has the aroma of nutmeg, but is much milder and therefore easier to measure. It`s used for subtle seasoning of fine soups, eggs, fish, seafood, potatoes, cheese, cabbage, pumpkin, and dairy dishes. Wonderful for Christmas baking!
