Kasumi K-11 whetstone, grit 240/1000
The Kasumi K-11 whetstone is suitable for a coarse 240-grit pre-sharpening and minor blade repairs. The 1000-grit is used for sharpening. Sharpening recommendation: Soak the stone in water for at least 15 minutes. It should remain wet throughout the sharpening process. The water, combined with the fine stone dust, acts like a honing paste, facilitating the sharpening process. Knives should be sharpened at an angle of approximately 15°. Sharpen only yourself, as everyone has their own individual sharpening technique. Generally, apply light pressure on the forward stroke at a 15° angle and then gently pull back at the same 15° angle. Afterward, the blade can be fine-honed and polished on the Kasumi K-12 with 3000 or 8000 grit stones.
