The knives in the Haiku Home series are quality knives with a good price-performance ratio. The less expensive and thinner blade material makes them a very good alternative wherever knives aren`t used for eight hours a day. They`re ideal for familiarizing yourself with Japanese chef`s knives, their blade shapes, and the associated sharpening techniques on a whetstone. The knives in the Haiku Home series are very sharp when handled correctly: As with all other Japanese blades, do not use bones or frosted surfaces, nor should they be cleaned in the dishwasher. Simply rinse the knives by hand with warm water and dry. For resharpening, use the HH-07 whetstone with 800 grit.
