
Fondant (white)
Fondant (French: melting) consists of sugar and glucose (candy syrup). The ingredients are cooked and then made into a soft paste by vigorous kneading and rapid cooling. This fondant mass is chewy and soft and melts easily in the mouth. Fondant is mainly used to cover confectionery, chocolates and pastries. The desired effect can be achieved by adding essential oils, colors or alcohol.
