Quilla honey is an intense and fine creamy honey, floral and aromatic, with a very round aftertaste. Quillay honey comes from the mountainous region in the Chilean Andes. The quillay tree (or soapbark tree) grows there at over 800m altitude and higher on steep slopes. Traditional farming is no longer possible there. The striking, star-shaped flowers provide the bees with a special nectar from which they conjure up this delicate honey.
