Elbling is Germany`s oldest grape variety and is native to the Upper Moselle region. The grape produces uncomplicated, refreshing, and delicately flavorful wines. Before the word Riesling even existed, the Romans had already cultivated Elbling there as Alba Romana and enjoyed the winemaking results. Elbling is dry, has a relatively low alcohol content, and a pleasant acidity. This makes it very tasty and uncomplicated. It has a wonderful aroma of green apple and citrus. Elbling is recommended with all kinds of fish dishes, as well as spicy meat, pasta, and rice dishes. On its own, it is a delightful companion for social gatherings with family and friends.
