2024 Elbling QW, dry, 10.5% vol., Martin Furst
Elbling is Germany`s oldest grape variety and is native to the Upper Moselle region. This grape produces uncomplicated, refreshing, and delicately spicy wines. Even before the word Riesling existed, the Romans cultivated Elbling there, known as Alba Romana, and enjoyed its wines. Elbling is dry, has a relatively low alcohol content, and pleasant acidity. This makes it very palatable and easy to drink. It has a wonderful aroma of green apple and citrus. Elbling pairs well with all kinds of fish dishes, as well as flavorful meat, pasta, and rice dishes. It`s also a lovely wine to enjoy on its own with family and friends.
