This chutney is a sophisticated combination of ripe figs and apples cooked in dark brown sugar and mild balsamic vinegar. This gives it a subtle acidity. Finally, the chutney is seasoned with cinnamon. It tastes very good with hard cheeses such as Parmesan and mountain cheese and with cold meat.
