Mu Err mushrooms, small
An East Asian morel that grows on rocks. Since the wood ear mushroom is dried, it should be soaked in water for about 30 minutes or boiled for 5 minutes before use. It is very popular in Chinese cuisine as a coloring element with a characteristic chewiness and is extremely versatile. It is ideal for salads, soups, vegetable and mushroom dishes, and sauces.
