Champagne Roederer Cristal 2013 Rose Brut, 12% vol. (Prestige - Cuvee)
Cristal Rose is produced using the saignee method with cold maceration, consisting of approximately 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, with 20% oak-aged wines. It ages for an average of six years in the cellar. Its sparkling, exceptionally fine, and dynamic perlage presents an elegant bouquet with notes of tart, freshly harvested red fruits (wild strawberries, raspberries) and citrus-scented flower petals. The various aromas are delicately interwoven, pure and clear: notes of fresh almonds, bread, and spices (cocoa beans) gradually develop, resulting in more than just a bouquet. On the palate, it is intense, smooth, and captivating, a logical continuation of the bouquet. Over time, the juicy, concentrated red fruits become reminiscent of a liqueur made with raspberries and invigorating sweet citrus fruits. The harmonious impression and the delicacy of the aromas are underscored by a creamy effervescence, resulting in a concentrated, round wine. 99/100 Robert Parker points
