Teriyaki - Warishita Sauce, Morita
This premium sauce from Morita is simple yet delicious! Made with Morita`s fantastic wooden barrel shoyu, the finest Japanese cane sugar, and a rare, natural Japanese seasoning sauce (ajinohaha) that combines the umami of sake and the sweetness of mirin. This sauce makes preparing teriyaki in the ryoutei/kappa style a breeze. Teriyaki in these fine restaurants is actually just a very light glaze for the fish or meat. It`s not a thick sauce like the teriyaki you often find elsewhere. The sauce`s flavor subtly enhances the natural taste of the main ingredients. Perfect for teriyaki, sukiyaki, nikujaga, BBQ, and marinades. This sauce develops its full, elegant flavor only when heated. If you plan to use it as a sauce over sushi, etc., we recommend briefly bringing it to a boil to fully appreciate its aroma. Morita Shoyu is a traditional brewery from Shimane Province in southwestern Japan`s main island of Honshu. Founded in 1903, Morita still brews exclusively with regional Japanese ingredients and places great emphasis on sustainable quality and naturalness. You`ll notice this very quickly when you taste the unique flavor of this product.
