DE-ÖKO-006 The young jackfruit has the texture of meat, but is a fruit. Lotao Green Jackfruit comes from an Indian farmers` cooperative and is harvested by hand. Because of the meat-like texture and the neutral taste, the jackfruit is the perfect base for sliced meat as well as for wok and pan dishes. If the fruit pieces are refined with spices and fresh vegetables, the pulp gets its special taste. Season the pulp and marinate in 200 ml oil for 10-15 minutes. Sauté in a pan for at least 4 to 5 minutes until browned and add fresh vegetables depending on the season.
