Single Malt Whiskey Springbank, 15 years, 46% vol., Campbeltown

The 15 year old Springbank is once again very good, as we are used to from this distillery. Demerara sugar, dark chocolate, almonds, toffee and a little wood await us on the nose. Smoke can only be smelled very subtly. On the palate we find, in addition to a beautiful, oily consistency, sweetness, figs, marzipan, raisins, nuts and cream/vanilla. In the finish, the Springbank 15 year old becomes drier and shows its dark side with sherry and leather notes. The light smoke also shows itself here and rounds off the finish.
