Maturation for 32 months in French oak barrels, followed by bottle aging for a further 8 months. Intense scent of red fruits and dried flowers. Well structured on the palate, robust, full-bodied with velvety and balanced tannins. Bruno Giacosa is one of the last traditionalists of Piedmont winemaking. He fundamentally rejects barriques and his wines are not filtered. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and aging in large French oak barrels. He has adopted his ancestors` philosophy of intervening as little as possible in the development of his wines. His wines are of Burgundian elegance, gentle yet powerful and long.
