German rock salt, hail salt, 0.8 - 2.3mm, natural
This hail-stained rock salt is recommended for seasoning cooking water, as pretzel salt, and is also suitable for other salt applications where natural quality is essential. It originates from one of Germany`s oldest salt domes, formed more than 200 million years ago by the evaporation of the Zechstein Sea, and lies protected from environmental influences at a depth of 400-750 meters underground. As untreated rock salt, it is not chemically refined and still contains numerous vital minerals and trace elements, making it a valuable natural product and seasoning.
