Muscovado sugar comes from the island of Mauritius. It is made from cane sugar and remains unrefined and natural. The chocolate-colored, slightly moist sugar offers strong aromatic notes with its natural molasses content. The spectrum ranges from caramel to malt to light liquorice taste. This is great for sweetening strong espresso, in the kitchen for flavoring sauces and marinades, and in the patisserie for chocolate creations.
