Argan oil, Morocco, traditional, filtered, Argandor, organic
MA - BIO - 102 / DE - OKO - 005 The last remaining argan tree stands can be found in southwestern Morocco. The region has been declared a Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There, the company Argandor, in collaboration with the UCFA (Union of Women`s Cooperatives), produces organic argan oil - the `gold of Morocco,` prized by Michelin-starred chefs. Without chemical refining or extraction, the argan kernels are carefully pressed by hand, foregoing increased yield. This preserves important nutrients and the unique flavor. For a characteristic nutty aroma, the kernels are gently roasted before pressing. Just a few drops of the oil are enough to enhance elegant salads, fresh pasta, sauces, grilled fish, and all kinds of meat dishes.
