De Cecco Rigatoni, No.24

The Rigatoni are members of the straight-cut grooved short format family, with a diameter of 16 mm, an average of 45 mm long, and a thickness between 1.11 and 1.18 mm. Allegedly, they come from the region of Campania, but this can not be determined exactly. This format can be used in a variety of ways and with a variety of sauces: especially meat sauces, pot roast sauces, mushroom and meat sauces, beef and pork sauces, sausage and chicken dumplings. For perfect results, the sauce must be liquid enough to penetrate into the grooves of the noodles.
