The only house pepper in France is the all-pimento and he finds in Espelette, near the town of St.-Jean-de-Luz, ideal climatic conditions to thrive: A good soil and a lot of heat. Allspice is spicy, but not as hot as cayenne. Ideal with omelette, grilled meat, salad, fish or pizza.
