Pomegranates are cultivated in western and central Asia, northern India and the Mediterranean. Its refreshingly sweet-sour pulp envelops individual seed kernels. Pomegranate seeds are used in northern India for vegetable and legume fruit dishes and in the Mogul kitchen for meat dishes.
