One of the most famous and valuable traditional honeys in Central Europe is real silver fir honey. A beekeeping specialty, especially in the Black Forest. Collected especially in the morning and evening because of the high humidity, the honeydew is double-fermented by the bees and becomes a dark black, malty honey with a very harmonious taste. A slightly greenish shimmer is characteristic.
