Ruadh Maor is the peated whisky from the Highland distillery Glenturret, founded in 1763, making it the oldest operating distillery in Scotland. Unfortunately, Ruadh Maor ceased production in 2025, making peated bottlings increasingly rare. This version, bottled by the independent German bottler Best Dram, matured entirely in a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead. It combines ashy peat smoke with nutty sweetness.
