Single Malt Whiskey Bunnahabhain 2013 - 2026 Best Dram, 56.9% vol., Islay

Distilled on February 11, 2013, at the historic Bunnahabhain Distillery, this whisky spent its entire 13-year maturation period in a single first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead. The independent German bottler Best Dram opted for a bottling date of April 23, 2026, which perfectly balances the power of the distillate with the spicy influences of the wood. Without the use of peat smoke, this single malt focuses entirely on the purity of the barley and the intense flavor imparted by the sherry cask. Shimmering in a deep mahogany hue, the whisky visually reveals its concentration. The bouquet is dominated by dark dried fruits such as raisins and plums, accompanied by roasted hazelnuts and a delicate sherry sweetness. On the palate, the 56.9% ABV cask strength whisky unfolds an impressive presence: full-bodied notes of dark chocolate and malt meet a spicy oak structure, while a subtle maritime salinity lingers in the background, making the finish dry and long-lasting. Cask 900066, only 333 bottles were produced.
