Champagne Gimonnet Gonet l`Origine Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru brut
The non-vintage Blanc de Blancs (100% Chardonnay) from Grand Cru villages of the Cote des Blancs. Fine mousse and very dry. With saline and mineral notes, paired with hints of brioche and yellow fruits. A classic Grand Cru Champagne from the heart of the Cote des Blancs. Born from two scions of renowned winemaking families in the Cote des Blancs, Anne Gonet and Philippe Gimonnet founded their own Champagne house, Gimonnet-Gonet, in 1986. Starting with 5 hectares, the family now owns 13.5 hectares, 6 of which are in the best Grand Cru vineyards of the Cote des Blancs in the villages of Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly, Cramant, and Oger. Since 2012, their son Charles has continued to manage the estate in the established tradition. The vines are at least 40 years old, all wines are produced in stainless steel tanks and aged on the lees for 3-6 years, depending on the quality. All Champagnes exhibit the minerality and salinity typical of the Cote des Blancs. They need time to breathe and should be drunk from large glasses to fully reveal their character.
