Tosazu Dashi Vinegar, Japanese Seasoning Sauce, Marusho, Japan
Tosa is the old name for the Kochi region on Shikoku, Japan`s smallest main island, famous for bonito. In traditional Japanese cuisine, several dishes include `Tosa` in their name, and all these Tosa-style specialties are seasoned with plenty of katsuoboshi (smoked onions). This vinegar preparation is no exception. The bonito lends a slightly smoky flavor and is often used in salads, as well as with fish carpaccio. Mixed with product number 59301 Tesukuri Tsuyu, it creates a perfect dip for cold Japanese noodle dishes like somen or hiyamugi. As with all Marusho products, only first-class, locally selected ingredients are used. Marusho places the utmost importance on naturalness in all its products and avoids all additives. Since 1879, Marusho has been producing vinegars in the traditional way in barrels - kioke - made of Kumano cedar. Named after famous sumo wrestlers, the finest ingredients ferment together with spring water from Mount Nachi to create unique, natural vinegars.
