2023 Poggio alle Gazze white wine IGT Tuscany, dry, 13.5% vol., Ornellaia

The wine was aged in 25% new and 25% used barriques, with the remaining 50% in steel and concrete tanks. The blend consists of 53% Sauvignon Blanc, 37% Vermentino, 7% Viognier, and 3% Verdicchio. The 2023 Poggio alle Gazze dell`Ornellaia shines with a typical straw-yellow hue. On the nose, it unfolds a seductive complexity with a dazzling array of citrus notes, exotic fruits, and white blossoms, underscored by aromas of fresh grass and asparagus. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and reveals a lovely freshness. It culminates in a long, flavorful, and mineral finish that beautifully expresses its terroir.
