Ponzu sauce with bonito, without soy sauce, Nippon Shizen Hakko
Ponzu is becoming increasingly popular here as well. This light salt ponzu is prepared without soy sauce, giving it a lighter flavor. The dashi for this kombu is cooked with kombu from Hokkaido and katsuobushi from Shizuoka. Yuzu from Ehime and Yukou from Tokushima Prefecture lend a wonderful citrus note. The sea salt comes from Naruto City in Tokushima Prefecture. It`s complemented by traditionally brewed vinegar from Nihon Shizen Hakko. This salt ponzu can be enjoyed on its own, diluted with rice vinegar, or blended with oil to create a mild vinaigrette. It`s also delicious as a salad dressing, or served with fish, seafood, and chicken. Made without preservatives or artificial colors. Refrigerate after opening and consume promptly. Nihon Shizen Hakko, located in Aichi Prefecture, specializes in fermented products.
