It all started with the renovation of Michaela Schaffrath`s small Bremen townhouse, which she inherited from her grandmother Martha. Eventually, the attic also needed clearing out. Among old furniture, suitcases, and boxes, she found a yellowed slip of paper with faded handwriting: Grandma Martha`s eggnog recipe! That`s how the vanilla eggnog was born. Now she has developed another variety with tempting marzipan. The perfect balance between high-quality eggs and the marzipan aroma gives the marzipan eggnog its exquisite taste. And she`s sure Grandma Martha would smile and hide the marzipan recipe in the attic, too. Only eggs from certified farms are used for the eggnog. High-quality ingredients are lovingly processed according to Grandma Martha`s family recipe, using the highest level of craftsmanship, by a traditional distillery. Since `Eierei` is made without additives, you might notice small golden specks in the liqueur, which will recombine when you shake the bottle. With an alcohol content of 20% ABV, the liqueur offers an intense flavor experience and doesn`t require a best-before date. Marzipan `Eierei` is a highlight any time: simply enjoy it neat, use it as a topping for your favorite dessert, create cocktails, enhance cakes, or simply savor it on its own. Must be 18 or older to purchase! Refrigerate the liqueur after opening and shake before serving! The recommended serving temperature is 10-12 degrees Celsius.
