Champagne Pertois - Lebrun 2021er l`Extravertie, Blanc de Blancs, Extra Brut
The Pertois-Lebrun estate originated from the marriage of Paul Pertois and Francoise Lebrun, who merged their families` vineyards in 1955. Their daughter Odile took over the management of the winery, followed in the fifth generation by her nephews Clement and Antoine. The two brothers, who grew up in Provence, complement each other perfectly. Clement, the nature lover, is converting the 44 parcels and 9.5 hectares in the Grand Cru villages of Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly, Oger, and Oiry to organic farming, while Antoine has given up his career as a management consultant and now handles the business side of things. The excellent grapes from the old vineyards are vinified at the winery today, depending on the cuvee, in stainless steel, wood, or sandstone amphorae. The brothers produce exclusively Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru wines characterized by their intensity, minerality, vibrancy, and aromatic precision.
