Distilled at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level, the Ardmore 2009/2023 matured continuously for 14 years in sherry butts, previously filled with the rare Palo Cortado style. The nose offers aromas of nut-crusted ham and subtle smoke against a backdrop of fresh herbs, along with Demerara sugar. The palate is full-bodied, intensely peaty, and astringent. More nut-crusted ham and sweetness are present, though more subtly. The finish is long, earthy, and peaty, with a touch of sweetness.
