2020 Sancerre Jadis, dry, 14.5% vol., H.Bourgeois

A Sauvignon Blanc from vines over 60 years old, growing on marl soils. Typical of Jadis are the aromas of exotic fruits, paired with a light honey note - a Sancerre elixir. A rarity with great aging potential. The winery`s style is rather traditional. Great emphasis is placed on minerality, as this reflects the magnificent and diverse terroirs of the Loire. The overly fruity, saturated wines so popular today are not found among these wines. Bourgeois` Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume wines are also characterized by their excellent aging potential. The premium ranges even reach their peak after three or four years and still offer a delightful drinking experience after 10 years.
