Where the Pyrenees plunge into the sea, the vineyards of Banyuls stretch for over 25 km along the coast, from Collioure to Cerbere and Port-Vendres. In these vineyards, on slate terraces where the grapes are harvested when overripe, Banyuls Vin Doux Naturel (natural sweet wine) is produced, boasting rich and complex aromas. This wine, however, is dry and can also be used in cooking. It`s a wine for refining and flavoring various dishes and sauces.
