Sakura - Japanese cherry blossoms, pickled in salt, Shinshu Shizen Okoku
Salted cherry blossoms are frequently used in Japan to prepare mochi, cakes, onigiri, or even chirashi (sushi), giving dishes a special seasonal touch, for example, during sakura season. They are also used to decorate food for special occasions like birthdays or other celebrations. Brewed with hot water, they can be enjoyed as a slightly salty tea. Since the blossoms are very salty, they should be rinsed with warm water to remove excess salt. This also transforms the cherry buds into small, beautiful blossoms. A touch of hanami, right in your own home! This product contains no preservatives or artificial colors.
