2021 Le Grand Blanc, dry, 13% vol., Montmarin
The estate`s flagship wine is a blend of Roussanne, Chardonnay, and Viognier. It`s golden yellow in color with pronounced aromas of dried apricots and banana, underpinned by notes of coconut and vanilla. Only the Chardonnay was aged for three months in barriques, imparting a pleasant, subtle oak character. Of the 400-hectare estate, 80 hectares are planted with vines. These stretch across a series of south-facing hills overlooking the Gulf of Lion. The clay-limestone, stony soil benefits from a typical Mediterranean climate: dry and windy. Although all the common grape varieties of the Languedoc are part of the portfolio, the white wines are considered the estate`s true strength. Excellent value for money, also ideal for serving by the glass.
