For many years, Ernst F. Loosen has been investigating the secret of historical winemaking from the times when Rieslings from the Moselle and Rhine were the most valuable wines in the world. Now, with the Riesling Indutiomarus, he is presenting a spectacular wine in a very traditional style. The wine from the 1981 vintage comes from the world-famous Grand Cru site Wehlener Sonnenuhr. It was bottled in 2008 after 27 years in barrels. Due to the long time in the barrel, the wonderfully matured wine combines phenomenal freshness, complexity and finesse. A Riesling that takes every connoisseur on a journey through time to the early 19th century and makes it possible to experience why Mosel Riesling was so popular around the world at the time. Only 100 magnums of this wine were bottled. 98 Falstaff points. With Markus Lüpertz, Loosen was able to win over one of the most important contemporary German artists for the design. His work adorns 100 magnum bottles of the limited edition `INDUTIOMARUS Markus Lüpertz 1981 Riesling exclusive`. Each magnum comes with an original 50x70 centimeter signed lithograph by the artist in a handcrafted cherry wood case.
