Lobster rillettes with Kari Gosse (Breton curry), Groix and Nature
Groix and Nature`s lobster rillettes are baked in the oven with fine spices and a touch of salt. The special touch is the addition of the `Kari Gosse` spice blend. Discovered in Lorient in the 19th century, Kari Gosse is a Breton curry powder distinguished by its ochre-yellow color and pronounced clove aroma. This spice blend is ideal in combination with lobster and other shellfish. After baking, the lobster rillettes are further refined with water, olive oil, cream, vegetables, and a few French spices. They are superb on a crusty baguette with a glass of champagne or a light white wine - simply delicious. Groix and Nature is a family-run cannery located on the island of Groix in the Atlantic Ocean. For 21 years, they have been producing a wide variety of canned fish, rillettes, soups, and specialty products.
