2022 Auxerrois estate wine, dry, 13% vol., wreath, organic
DE - ORGANIC - 022 Based on its name, this white grape variety is believed to originate from the Auxerre area, immediately west of Chablis. Auxerrois is a white wine grape variety with limited distribution and importance in France (Alsace), Luxembourg, and Germany (Upper Moselle, Palatinate, Kraichgau). At the Kranz winery, the Auxerrois grapes grow partly at the foot of the Furstenweg trail and partly on a south-facing plateau of the Kalmit mountain, with soils that are sometimes very calcareous. The wine offers delicately spicy, clear fruit, medium acidity, and a juicy character.
