Spice garden Goji berries (Wolfberry, Ninjiang himalajan), dried
Goji berries are among the most nutrient-rich fruits in the world. Goji berries, also known as boxthorn fruits (Latin: Lycium barbarum), look like small red raisins and taste like a mixture of cranberries and cherries. The typical region in China where the plant is found is called Ningxia, and from there it has spread widely as a cultivated plant. In our latitudes, boxthorn fruits are mostly only known to a select few. The Latin name is Fructus Lycii, which translates to wolfberries.
