Granoro is launching a new line of gluten-free pasta. It includes five basic shapes made from corn, rice, and quinoa flour, as well as a corn and rice lasagna. This line is designed for anyone suffering from gluten intolerance or who has voluntarily eliminated gluten from their diet. The aroma and flavor of Granoro`s GlutenFree pasta are typical of corn, softened by the rice flour and the vegetal notes of quinoa. Quinoa was included to compensate for the lack of fiber, minerals, and protein in rice and corn alone. The blend of the three flours gives the pasta a yellow color very similar to that of durum wheat pasta, rather than the translucent yellow of many commercially available pastas. The pasta remains firm after cooking, and its slightly rough surface allows sauces to cling to it easily.
